Wedding Cake

For me, the best part of going to a wedding reception is the cake.  No, it’s not the long line of eligible men just dying to dance with me.  It’s the cake… which might be why there ISN’T a long line of men who want to dance with me.  I just got back from a reception for this girl… geez, I remember when she was born!  Anyway, her wedding cake looked like something from the Mad Hatter’s tea party.  Normally I like fondant frosting and red velvet cake but I took a few bites and headed back over to the table that had Costco brownies.  It made me sad.

This post makes me upset… to think that people would sacrifice taste and quality of the cake for it to look like you’re at a Disneyworld tea party… It saddens me that this happened.

My sister brags about how even though she didn’t like how her cake looks, it’s the best tasting cake either of them have ever had. I respect that. Let’s have more ugly, but delicious cakes in the world.

No joke. I mean if I have to spend money on a 20 year-old kid who registered at Wal-Mart (!) and am forced to make small talk with people I don’t know, then you better have the BEST tasting cake in the world or I’ll insult your reception forever.

i wish my bishop dropped off baked goods…

Well, just count your blessings that the bad cake only set you back Wal-mart prices and you didn’t have to splurge on something ritzy at Target’s Club Wed…
